Sometimes I like to take my time and enjoy the splendours of nature wherever I happen to be. This sunrise while on the ferry to Vancouver was quite magical and changed colours every few minutes.
Last week, a surprise snowstorm covered trees already laden with Spring catkins. This gave an unusual appearance to the snow-covered landscape.
But this week, Spring is back with a vengeance and should hopefully be here to stay.
As the light fades at the end of the day, the sea lions cease their noisy barking and birds gather to fly to the offshore islets where they pass the night.
